Project Spotlight: the Star Supply Building

Street view of State St., the Star Supply lot is to the right.Located on State Street in New Haven, the old industrial site is now the stuff of great plans. Recently, the City Plan Comission approved plans for the construction of some 235 residential units. This would involve demolishing most of the existing buildings, which have been vacant and locked up.

With this approval, the project will have to seek a building permit to begin construction, which is estimated to take about 6 months of planning and design, and some 18 months of actual construction.

Our very own engineer, Jim Rotodondo, P.E., is involved as the project’s site engineer. Our survey team has also been involved in the mapping of the site since the project’s inception.

Both the New Haven Register and the New Haven Independent have been covering the project.
